The Children’s Book Fair ’07 is the first of its kind to be held in the city of Kolkata. A perfect blend of knowledge and fun, the fair is aimed at rejuvenating the love for books. The initiative has been taken up by our group of enthusiasts backed by the CBF Committee.

Our group comprises of writers, poets, painter & sculptors, businessmen, social workers and other eminent personalities from all walks of the society and is being guided under the Chairmanship of Hon’able Justice G. N. Ray (Retd) who is also the chairman for The Press Council of India.

Mission Statement

The purpose of this is to inculcate and propagate in children the various important aspects of life through the reading of books, which is now on its way to become a threatened habit with the advent of the technological age. This will also help us to ignite in children’s mind a “love for books” and through it, a sense of mission for achieving a developed India.

Why This Initiative?

Provide an opportunity to children to get more exposure to reading material and at the same time show case their talents through the Inter-School Competition and other activities

Create a zest for knowledge through reading books

Develop the minds of children and through it a sense of mission for a developed India.

Create a fun filled atmosphere that is aimed at a family audience .This will be a great place for a family outing in the holiday season
